How it works

The Code on Wages 2019 mandates that Basic + DA + Retaining Allowance must be at least 50% of Total CTC. This rule exists to protect PF, ESIC, bonus, and gratuity calculations from being suppressed by inflated allowances.

In TiNAAK Pulse, this rule is enforced at the PostgreSQL schema level — not as application logic, not as a validation warning. A salary structure that violates this rule cannot be saved. Period.
